In the 5thth minute of the game Karl Hermansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vännäs's Ola Biörkman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Karl Hermansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ola Biörkman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Olof Elg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ola Biörkman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olof Elg in the 24th minute of play forced Vännäs's goalkeeper Ola Biörkman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans Vollander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olov Friberger in the 66th minute of the match. Hannes Billing's late challenge caught a Vännäs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hannes Billing helped the player get up and apologised. If Olof Elg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 96 minutes, Karl Hermansson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skelleftehamn and the Vännäs players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Karl Hermansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
