In the 4th minute Gustaf Löfkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dick Ekman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Genevad booed when Kryddhyllan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Arne Ferm didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Vidar Melberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Genevad's supporters rose to their feet, but Vidar Melberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingvar Bäck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Kryddhyllan FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Richard Wallin hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peder Lind during the 26th minute. Peder Lind didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Kennet Söderström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Genevad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kryddhyllan FC the free kick. Dick Ekman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaf Löfkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Genevad's zone, Max Norberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dick Ekman came out of the goal and Max Norberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Adam Strömberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vidar Melberg in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ingvar Bäck saved Kryddhyllan FC from getting behind. Dick Ekman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaf Löfkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Vidar Melberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ingvar Bäck. That made the score 1-0 in the 47 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gustaf Löfkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. Ingvar Bäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Strömberg in the 54th minute of play. Gustaf Löfkvist was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. Kryddhyllan FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Genevad's Ture Åkesson got a free kick in the 58th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Kryddhyllan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Strömberg came free, but Ingvar Bäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Wallin lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kryddhyllan FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! Max Norberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Dick Ekman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adam Strömberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dick Ekman made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Max Norberg sent off a good shot on target. After 80 minutes Genevad's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jarl Lind who took care of the corner kick. Stig-Arne Ferm made a great header on Kryddhyllan FC's corner, it was just that Genevad's Dick Ekman managed to reach the ball for a save. If Vidar Melberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pelle Bjurström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ingvar Bäck. Kryddhyllan FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vidar Melberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ingvar Bäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adam Strömberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ingvar Bäck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Genevad's Dick Ekman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Genevad from getting a goal against them.
