Esbjörn Örtendal might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rudolf Emander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The audience was convinced that Sven-Åke Sundberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kurt Fransson was relentless in the 24th minute of the game.
