With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sten Dahlbom in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andy Lundgren saved Ytterhogdal FK from getting behind. After having played for 33 minutes, Claes Nord managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malmö FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claes Nord was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claes Nord fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Lundgren having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Malmö FF fully deserved thier win.
