Kurt Helander was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sven Nyström showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedes-Benz FC's zone, Sven Nyström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Helander came out of the goal and Sven Nyström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Nyström in the 20th minute of play forced Mercedes-Benz FC's goalkeeper Kurt Helander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Ian Olsman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Krister Lundin, 24 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Eric Bock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Kurt Helander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Eric Bock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerpgöks IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Bock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Helander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 36 minutes, Eric Bock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gerpgöks IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Bock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Mercedes-Benz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Nyström came free, but Kurt Helander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sven Nyström came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Gerpgöks IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven Nyström couldn't finish the play. When Gerpgöks IF's Eric Bock in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mercedes-Benz FC's goalie prevented a goal.

54 minutes into the game, Eric Bock cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Kurt Helander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Ferm during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute of the match Krister Lundin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kurt Helander skillfully saved the ball. Kurt Helander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Bock in the 61st minute of play. Eric Bock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Helander having to interfere. Kurt Helander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven Nyström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven Nyström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Nyström in the 72nd minute of play forced Mercedes-Benz FC's goalkeeper Kurt Helander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Helander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven Nyström, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Sven Nyström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven Nyström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gerpgöks IF fully deserved thier win.
