An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Åström in the 9th minute of play forced Mercedes-Benz FC's goalkeeper Kurt Helander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kurt Helander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oskar Harman, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Kurt Helander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oskar Harman in the 13th minute of the match. If Oskar Harman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17thth minute of the game John Nyman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mercedes-Benz FC's Kurt Helander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 20 minutes of play, Skyttorp IF's Oskar Harman made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kurt Helander was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mats Åström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mats Åström came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Skyttorp IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mats Åström couldn't finish the play. Christer Arvidsson charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christer Arvidsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mercedes-Benz FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Christer Arvidsson hit a great ball. Kurt Helander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oskar Harman's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Mercedes-Benz FC's Kurt Helander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Åström in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mercedes-Benz FC's zone, Mats Åström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Helander came out of the goal and Mats Åström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Sebastian Ferm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mercedes-Benz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Ferm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herman Kjellkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Ferm was the one to do the kick off. If Mats Åström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Oskar Harman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kurt Helander was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Oskar Harman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Kurt Helander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oskar Harman was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Kurt Helander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oskar Harman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Skyttorp IF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mercedes-Benz FC.
