Emil Josefsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Christian Dahlbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. From close distance Östen Björkdahl pressed in the 1-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 9 minutes into the game. After 16 minutes of play, Laholm BF's Sverker Jonasson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adrian Brenner was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Johannes Karlstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sverker Jonasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Brenner having to interfere. Sverker Jonasson hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, Leo Viberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrian Brenner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sverker Jonasson in the 32nd minute of play. Östen Björkdahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Dahlbom having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Östen Björkdahl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Åsele IK's Emil Josefsson got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58thth minute of the game Östen Björkdahl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Laholm BF's Christian Dahlbom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sverker Jonasson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christian Dahlbom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Östen Björkdahl's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Östen Björkdahl struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Christian Dahlbom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åsele IK. 67 minutes into the match, Jan-Olof Sandwall notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Laholm BF's Christian Dahlbom. Christian Dahlbom was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 71st minute, Östen Björkdahl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Östen Björkdahl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Dahlbom was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. 76 minutes into the game, Johannes Karlstedt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laholm BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Åsele IK the free kick. In the 76th minute, Johannes Karlstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laholm BF's Christian Dahlbom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Östen Björkdahl in the 77th minute of play. Christian Dahlbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Östen Björkdahl in the 80th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Åsele IK's zone, Sverker Jonasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Brenner came out of the goal and Sverker Jonasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Dahlbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Östen Björkdahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sverker Jonasson made in the 90th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Johannes Karlstedt however managed to control. 95 minutes in the game Sverker Jonasson got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Åsele IK had won after a very even match.
