Fredriksberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fagerås the free kick. A collision led to Fredriksberg getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Sven-Olof Hedlund hit a great ball. A hard shot by Edward Siöman from long distance, 19 minutes into the match, got Tim Törnkvist's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Orvar Henriksson came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Fredriksberg's Roger Lindmark. But to his dismay, Roger Lindmark quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Kjell-Arne Andberg fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fagerås's protests and gave Kjell-Arne Andberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Kjell-Arne Andberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ingvar Löfgren to make the kick off. Fredriksberg's Tim Törnkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Söderlund in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Roger Lindmark dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Orvar Henriksson, 0-3. Sven-Olof Hedlund hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Edward Siöman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tim Törnkvist. Fredriksberg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Orvar Henriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Löfgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Ingvar Löfgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 minutes, Ingvar Löfgren made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. Fagerås's Orvar Henriksson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tim Törnkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aron Jakobsson in the 84th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ingvar Löfgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orvar Henriksson was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Orvar Henriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Löfgren in the 88th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Fagerås's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Näver came free, but Orvar Henriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fredriksberg had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
