The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Käringön:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Holmsveden FK:s goal. Tony Linberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pär Stenkvist having to interfere. Tony Linberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Pär Stenkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tony Linberg came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Holmsveden FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Linberg couldn't finish the play. Sten Levander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jan-Ove Stålman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bernt Grelsson came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Holmsveden FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernt Grelsson couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Käringön's Pär Stenkvist got control of the ball when Bernt Grelsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benjamin Siöberg kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fredric Västlund got free with Pär Stenkvist in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bernt Grelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gunnar Sundin to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Holmsveden FK's Bernt Grelsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pär Stenkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Evert Forsman's late challenge caught a Holmsveden FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evert Forsman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute of the match Fredric Västlund sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pär Stenkvist skillfully saved the ball. In the 64th minute, Bernt Grelsson made a precise shot to the right of Pär Stenkvist. Käringön's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Bernt Grelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Holmsveden FK's Bernt Grelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pär Stenkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Linberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Käringön's Pär Stenkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Linberg in the 76th minute of play. After 76 minutes of play, Holmsveden FK's Tony Linberg made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pär Stenkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th match minute, Käringön was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evert Forsman to maneuver through the defense. Tony Linberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pär Stenkvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tony Linberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Bernt Grelsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Pär Stenkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Sten Levander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Käringön's supporters rose to their feet, but Sten Levander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Ove Stålman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th match minute, Holmsveden FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Hägg to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Holmsveden FK were the better team. Holmsveden FK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
