In the 18thth minute of the game Pelle Lundqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holmsveden FK's Jan-Ove Stålman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 19 played minutes Holmsveden FK got a freekick which was hit by Timmy Hägg. Rickard Jonasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rickard Jonasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the game, Bernt Grelsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Walter Stigsson. Bernt Grelsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Björn Ljungberg during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Björn Ljungberg hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Jan-Ove Stålman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Lundqvist in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tony Linberg to make the kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Rickard Jonasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hemse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rickard Jonasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Hemse's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Linberg came free, but Walter Stigsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rickard Jonasson struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Jan-Ove Stålman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hemse. Jan-Ove Stålman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pelle Lundqvist in the 74th minute of play. Walter Stigsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Grelsson in the 79th minute of the match. When Pelle Lundqvist came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Hemse fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pelle Lundqvist couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Björn Ljungberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walter Stigsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Linberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bernt Grelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Holmsveden FK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Hemse for a fine match.
