Spectators: 7133 (Terracing: 5452, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 10) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rickard Kullgren got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Edvin Asmundsson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Paul Lindkvist, passed just outside the right post. Rickard Kullgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Paul Lindkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grillby's Edvin Asmundsson got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Ljung getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Victor Malmström hit a great ball. Conny Larsfelt kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Simon Bålström's late challenge caught a Ljung's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Per-Erik Tinglöv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per-Erik Tinglöv's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sixten Vase read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. The attack was good, but when Victor Malmström in the 24th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Sixten Vase came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Ljung's Victor Malmström. But to his dismay, Victor Malmström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Victor Malmström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Vase having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Erik Tinglöv in the 40th minute of play forced Grillby's goalkeeper Sixten Vase to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Edvin Asmundsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Malmström to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Ljung was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ove Termander to maneuver through the defense. Edvin Asmundsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Lindkvist having to interfere. If Rickard Kullgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Edvin Asmundsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Lindkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per-Erik Tinglöv's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Sixten Vase skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Grillby's Sixten Vase got control of the ball when Per-Erik Tinglöv tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Malmström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Sixten Vase tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Grillby getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Christian Jansson hit a great ball. If Victor Malmström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ljung's Douglas Mossberg got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Rickard Kullgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Lindkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Ljung supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ljung would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
