Hampus Back started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Ulf Back was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Linghed IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ljung the free kick. Ulf Back kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Victor Malmström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Glad having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Per-Erik Tinglöv notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Linghed IK's George Glad. George Glad was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paul Lindkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Lindman in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joakim Danielsson got free with Paul Lindkvist in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hampus Back sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Victor Malmström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Sven Lindman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per-Erik Tinglöv received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. George Glad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Malmström to make the kick off. Victor Malmström might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over George Glad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Malmström ran back to his position shaking his head. Hampus Back's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paul Lindkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ljung's zone, Hampus Back stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Lindkvist came out of the goal and Hampus Back tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62ndth minute of the game Joakim Danielsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ljung's Paul Lindkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Paul Lindkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joakim Danielsson in the 63rd minute of the match. Paul Lindkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hampus Back, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Joakim Danielsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ljung's goalkeeper Paul Lindkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hampus Back fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Lindkvist having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Joakim Danielsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linghed IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Joakim Danielsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Lindkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute, Ljung's Victor Malmström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind George Glad. George Glad yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Victor Malmström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Glad having to interfere. The Ljung players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
