Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 10) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rickard Kullgren kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Grillby's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Danielsson came free, but Sixten Vase reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Edvin Asmundsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grillby's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvin Asmundsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. George Glad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rickard Kullgren struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. George Glad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grillby. Hampus Back fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Vase having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Grillby's goal looked a bit too open when Hampus Back came free, but Sixten Vase reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 minutes of play, Linghed IK's Joakim Danielsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sixten Vase was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joakim Danielsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sixten Vase having to make a save. Sixten Vase didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hampus Back went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Edvin Asmundsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edvin Asmundsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but George Glad made a huge save. After 45 played minutes Linghed IK got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Gunnarsson. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Rickard Kullgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grillby's supporters rose to their feet, but Rickard Kullgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. George Glad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hampus Back to make the kick off. The supporters of Grillby booed when Linghed IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Back didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Rickard Kullgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Glad was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Sixten Vase made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Sven Lindman sent off a good shot on target. Grillby's Sixten Vase played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hampus Back in the 57th minute of play. If Edvin Asmundsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Glad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Kullgren in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Grillby booed when Linghed IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Back didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rickard Kullgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wictor Lennartsson during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 70 played minutes Linghed IK got a freekick which was hit by Wictor Lennartsson. If Joakim Danielsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Glad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvin Asmundsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Berglund kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Linghed IK's George Glad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvin Asmundsson in the 90th minute of play. Rickard Kullgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Glad having to interfere. Sixten Vase showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Back in the 97th minute of the match. The Linghed IK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Linghed IK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
