Hammarstrand IF's Jakob Sjö played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmie Dalkvist in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Kinnarumma BK booed when Hammarstrand IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conny Pilblad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olof Palmquist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jakob Sjö. Hammarstrand IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Lars Kvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Kinnarumma BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Åke Rydberg to maneuver through the defense. Hammarstrand IF were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Kinnarumma BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Per-Olof Nilsson took the corner. A wasted opportunity for Kinnarumma BK. 30 minutes into the match, Hammarstrand IF's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmie Dalkvist came free, but Jakob Sjö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Kinnarumma BK were awarded a corner. Olof Palmquist went to the cornerflag to take it. Olof Palmquist made a great header on Kinnarumma BK's corner, it was just that Hammarstrand IF's Jakob Sjö managed to reach the ball for a save. Karl-Åke Rydberg's late challenge caught a Hammarstrand IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Åke Rydberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Karl-Åke Rydberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Tillman spun around in front of the goal 46 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Kinnarumma BK's goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
