Joakim Odeen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Sixten Lingren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Jonas Vinström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Torbjörn Vacker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urban Nilsson in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Richard Ekelund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Isbergets IF's Isaac Ek got a free kick in the 29th minute. After some careless play in the Avesta FF defense, Urban Nilsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Torbjörn Vacker. The Avesta FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Torbjörn Vacker should have stopped the shot. Isbergets IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avesta FF the free kick. Joakim Odeen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Lingren having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timmy Hafström was the one to do the kick off. Sixten Lingren was a little too slow when Timmy Hafström got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 59th minute, Michael Engström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Vinström struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Torbjörn Vacker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Isbergets IF. After a rather tough play, Avesta FF's Aleksander Vallander got a free kick in the 63rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urban Nilsson in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torbjörn Vacker saved Avesta FF from getting behind. If Urban Nilsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There was no doubt that Isbergets IF were the better team. Isbergets IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
