The supporters of Tranemo booed when Vänge BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Bergdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilbert Ahlbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Tranemo's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Asklund came free, but Kurt Benet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Gilbert Ahlbom dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Peder Skytt, 1-0. Vänge BF's Peder Skytt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Vänge BF from getting a goal against them. Jim Vallin might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kurt Benet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jim Vallin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th minute Thomas Asklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kurt Benet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Asklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Kurt Benet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Benet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jim Vallin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vänge BF's Jim Vallin got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vänge BF's Thomas Asklund got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Thomas Asklund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Thomas Asklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Benet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Asklund's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Mats Olsmann kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Charles Bergström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peder Skytt having to interfere. When Thomas Asklund came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Vänge BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Asklund couldn't finish the play. Kurt Benet was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Thomas Asklund showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 76 minute of play. Jim Vallin struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Kurt Benet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vänge BF. When the final whistle sounded Vänge BF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tranemo.
