Gert Holmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egon Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Egon Bergman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gert Holmgren was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Jämjö GoIF's zone, Egon Bergman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gert Holmgren came out of the goal and Egon Bergman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the match, Luleå HF's Egon Bergman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gert Holmgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 27 played minutes Jämjö GoIF got a freekick which was hit by Max Qvarnström. In the 32ndth minute of the game Sture Lindberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jämjö GoIF's Gert Holmgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Sture Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gert Holmgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sture Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Egon Bergman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolf Bratt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elof Skytt in the 41st minute of the match. Egon Bergman might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gert Holmgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Egon Bergman ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Elof Skytt made the kick off in the second half. Aleksander Ingemarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. When Jämjö GoIF's Elof Skytt in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Luleå HF's goalie prevented a goal. Gert Holmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egon Bergman in the 66th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Luleå HF's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Pihlberg came free, but Rolf Bratt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sture Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Egon Bergman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Holmgren having to interfere. Stig Hermansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rolf Bratt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sture Lindberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gert Holmgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luleå HF's Rolf Bratt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elof Skytt in the 94th minute of play. Luleå HF were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
