Gert Holmgren was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Michael Backman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Michael Backman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Michael Backman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Jämjö GoIF's goalkeeper Gert Holmgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Backman. Gert Holmgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Backman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gert Holmgren made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Carl Kellberg sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 35 minutes, Carl Kellberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arnäsvall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carl Kellberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Michael Backman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

With a little luck, Arnäsvall's Stefan Malmström got control of the ball when Stig Hermansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elof Skytt struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Stefan Malmström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jämjö GoIF. Gert Holmgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Backman, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 70 played minutes Arnäsvall got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Edvin Wennersten. Elof Skytt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Arnäsvall getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Uno Tomasson hit a great ball. If Elof Skytt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carl Kellberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Rutger Wästerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gert Holmgren came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Arnäsvall's Michael Backman. But to his dismay, Michael Backman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Elof Skytt struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Stefan Malmström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jämjö GoIF.
