Kjell Kvick started the match with the kick off. Bertil Lindsten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell Kvick in the 4th minute of the match. Hallsberg's Bertil Lindsten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Flink in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Hallsberg booed when Örsundsbro FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yngve Vik didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Örsundsbro FF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hallsberg:s goal. Yngve Vik charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yngve Vik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Örsundsbro FF got a freekick which was hit by Yngve Vik. With a little luck, Örsundsbro FF's Ingvar Stenberg got control of the ball when Kjell-Arne Lundin tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Hallsberg getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ludvig Bark hit a great ball. David Flink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bertil Lindsten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Flink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kjell Kvick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Kjell Kvick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Flink blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bertil Lindsten having to make a save. Kjell Kvick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Bertil Lindsten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Holger Frisck was the one to do the kick off. Ingvar Stenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Holger Frisck in the 55th minute of play. Kjell Kvick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Bertil Lindsten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Flink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72ndth minute of the game Kjell-Arne Lundin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Örsundsbro FF's Ingvar Stenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Torsten Eriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Holger Frisck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ingvar Stenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Flink's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertil Lindsten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Örsundsbro FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rikard Alin to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Rydberg during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 98th minute of the match Jan Johansson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ingvar Stenberg skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hallsberg fans cheered their team off the field, for while Örsundsbro FF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
