Spectators: 7131 (Terracing: 5454, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 5) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carl Hök took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Aaron Svanström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åby FC's Joachim Jönsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 4 played minutes Åby FC got a freekick which was hit by Adam Vollander. When Kim Lekberg fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skillingsfors RK's protests and gave Kim Lekberg a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Skillingsfors RK getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Kim Lekberg hit a great ball. If Birger Öman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Åby FC's Ragnar Linqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carl Hök received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Joachim Jönsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Åby FC's goalkeeper Joachim Jönsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Oliver Winström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birger Öman in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Birger Öman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oliver Winström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The Skillingsfors RK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Åby FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Birger Öman to make the kick off. Carl Hök received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Joachim Jönsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birger Öman in the 58th minute of play forced Skillingsfors RK's goalkeeper Oliver Winström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Skillingsfors RK booed when Åby FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Hedbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Christian Fransson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ian Groth fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skillingsfors RK's protests and gave Ian Groth a yellow card for diving instead. Ian Groth hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Christian Fransson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Oliver Winström made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Christian Fransson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åby FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Fransson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver Winström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Birger Öman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Winström having to interfere. If Birger Öman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, Birger Öman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Åby FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
