An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Jespersson in the 4th minute of play forced Ambjörnarp's goalkeeper Robert Godholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 minutes, Charles Lundgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Axvall RK and the Ambjörnarp players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Axvall RK got a freekick which was hit by Charles Lundgren. William Fernström's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Mikael Kjellkvist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 25th match minute, Axvall RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernst Andreasson to maneuver through the defense. Bengt Tolsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Robert Godholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Axvall RK booed when Ambjörnarp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Pihlwall didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Charles Lundgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Axvall RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 39th minute Olov Jespersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Godholm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 49 minutes, Dennis Sundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ambjörnarp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Sundberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olov Jespersson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Olov Jespersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Godholm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olov Jespersson's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Bengt Tolsson put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Robert Godholm. 89 minutes into the game, Bengt Tolsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Axvall RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ambjörnarp the free kick. Bengt Tolsson hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Bengt Tolsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robert Godholm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
