Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jerry Deckbergh made the kick off which started today's match. Jerry Deckbergh's late challenge caught a IFK Örby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerry Deckbergh helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pär Göransson in the 15th minute of play forced Utö IK's goalkeeper Josef Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Jerry Deckbergh recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fred Linquist. Jerry Deckbergh showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After having played for 20 minutes, Arne Hurtig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Utö IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arne Hurtig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fred Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Deckbergh, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Freddie Pedersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Josef Linquist was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. With a little luck, IFK Örby's Fred Linquist got control of the ball when Arne Hurtig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Arne Hurtig could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Fred Linquist however easily saved by the left post. Fred Linquist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerry Deckbergh's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Arne Hurtig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Jerry Deckbergh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Utö IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerry Deckbergh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pär Göransson kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jerry Deckbergh in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fred Linquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, IFK Örby's Fred Linquist got control of the ball when Arne Hurtig tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, IFK Örby's goal looked a bit too open when Jerry Deckbergh came free, but Fred Linquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Arne Hurtig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Fred Linquist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Freddie Pedersson made a kick off. Arne Hurtig might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fred Linquist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arne Hurtig ran back to his position shaking his head. If Arne Hurtig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arne Hurtig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 63 minutes, Jerry Deckbergh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Utö IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerry Deckbergh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fred Linquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Deckbergh in the 65th minute of play. Tomas Bengtsson kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Fred Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Deckbergh, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the match, IFK Örby's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Hurtig came free, but Fred Linquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josef Linquist came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by IFK Örby's Yngve Kuse. But to his dismay, Yngve Kuse quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind IFK Örby's goalkeeper Fred Linquist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arne Hurtig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Linquist having to interfere. Jerry Deckbergh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Arne Hurtig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Utö IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Arne Hurtig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Linquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fred Linquist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arne Hurtig went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Utö IK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
