Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arman Willig started the match with the kick off. Kennet Ekelund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Hylander in the 3rd minute of play. Kurt Hylander took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kennet Ekelund. Kennet Ekelund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Djurgården booed when Nykroppa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Dalberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Freddie Hökkvist in the 15th minute really tested Karl Pettersson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Filip Wikander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Pettersson having to interfere. With a little luck, Djurgården's Karl Pettersson got control of the ball when Peder Fransson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peder Fransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 31 minutes, Peder Fransson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nykroppa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peder Fransson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl Pettersson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Wikander, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Nykroppa booed when Djurgården was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arman Holmberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Hylander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Filip Wikander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nykroppa's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Wikander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Pettersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Daniel Aleberg fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Djurgården's protests and gave Daniel Aleberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Djurgården was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Aleberg to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Djurgården were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filip Wikander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Djurgården defense, Filip Wikander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl Pettersson. The Djurgården fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl Pettersson should have stopped the shot. Karl Pettersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peder Fransson in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Nykroppa booed when Djurgården was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Martinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peder Fransson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Karl Pettersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kennet Ekelund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arman Willig in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Peder Fransson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arman Willig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Nykroppa's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kurt Hylander fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Filip Wikander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, Nykroppa's goal looked a bit too open when Arman Willig came free, but Kennet Ekelund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filip Wikander took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karl Pettersson. Karl Pettersson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Arman Holmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 94 minutes into the match, Djurgården's Kurt Hylander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kennet Ekelund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Wikander in the 96th minute of play forced Djurgården's goalkeeper Karl Pettersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Djurgården's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
