With a little luck, Bromma's Åke Lägdin got control of the ball when Bo Holmgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emil Hernström charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Hernström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bromma booed when Ölmstad United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Hernström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åke Lägdin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Hernström in the 10th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Ölmstad United got a freekick which was hit by Robert Hjälm. In the 16th minute, Ölmstad United's Stig-Åke Grubb ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Åke Lägdin. Åke Lägdin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ölmstad United! The referee gave Bromma a penalty, 25 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ronny Täman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ölmstad United's Folke Isaksson. 1-1. The supporters of Bromma booed when Ölmstad United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Alexander Ivarsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Folke Isaksson was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Ölmstad United's Bo Holmgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Åke Lägdin. Åke Lägdin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. 44 minutes into the match, Bromma's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Grubb came free, but Åke Lägdin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Ivarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stig-Åke Grubb to make the kick off. Bromma's Ronny Täman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nils Nilsson in the 53 minute of the game. Ronny Täman struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Folke Isaksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bromma. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Alexander Ivarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bromma's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Ivarsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Folke Isaksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 58 minutes into the game, Ronny Täman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bromma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ölmstad United the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bromma's Ronny Täman got a free kick in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Ivarsson in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Folke Isaksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexander Ivarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Folke Isaksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st match minute, Bromma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christer Lang to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ölmstad United's goalkeeper Folke Isaksson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Folke Isaksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Lang, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Robert Sundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Alexander Ivarsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Folke Isaksson could save by the left post. Folke Isaksson made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Alvar Sjöberg sent off a good shot on target.
