Åkersberga IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Säfström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vilhelmina BK's Sten Wästerberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Vilhelmina BK from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Emil Blixt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sten Wästerberg was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Hugo Säfström took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sten Wästerberg. Sten Wästerberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emil Blixt to strike the kick off in the second half. Vilhelmina BK's Sten Wästerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Säfström in the 54th minute of play. But to his dismay, Erik Hedström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 82nd minute of the match Axel Hedman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sten Wästerberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vilhelmina BK's zone, Hugo Säfström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sten Wästerberg came out of the goal and Hugo Säfström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Emil Blixt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sten Wästerberg was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Erik Hedström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Gunnar Örtendahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emil Blixt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sten Wästerberg having to make a save. Vilhelmina BK were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Åkersberga IFK's much stronger midfield.
