After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Bengt-Arne Berggren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Östavall IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt-Arne Berggren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otto Lidberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Östavall IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joachim Örtendahl was slow to take the kick. During this time Hudiksvalls FF's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Hudiksvalls FF's Joachim Örtendahl to fire away a dangerous shot which Arman Biörkquist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Walter Bocklund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arman Biörkquist having to make a save. 25 minutes into the game, Robert Vallengren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hudiksvalls FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Östavall IF the free kick. Otto Lidberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Hudiksvalls FF's goal looked a bit too open when Thor Holmberg came free, but Otto Lidberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt-Arne Berggren who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Otto Lidberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hudiksvalls FF's Joachim Örtendahl was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arman Biörkquist in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With an all-out effort, Östavall IF's Otto Lidberg threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Thor Holmberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Östavall IF's Jim Juhlin got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kaj Zachrisson to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Östavall IF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hudiksvalls FF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
