Spectators: 7230 (Terracing: 5424, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bertil Palm started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, BK Trivsel's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Arne Berggren came free, but Alf Forsberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Bengt-Arne Berggren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alf Forsberg was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 6 minutes into the game, when Victor Ekström put in a rough tackle. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Östavall IF! The goalkeeper, Arman Biörkquist, was totally fooled by BK Trivsel's Evert Moberg, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Arman Biörkquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertil Palm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paul Kjellkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bengt-Rune Flink sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th match minute, BK Trivsel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Rune Flink to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd match minute, Östavall IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Johnsson to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Arman Biörkquist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 47 minutes into the game, Bengt-Rune Flink cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Arman Biörkquist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt-Arne Berggren was the one to do the kick off. When BK Trivsel's Bertil Palm in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Östavall IF's goalie prevented a goal. When Michel Nordgren came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Östavall IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel Nordgren couldn't finish the play. BK Trivsel's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Ulf Tham scored to the left of an out of position Alf Forsberg, making the score, 3-1. Arman Biörkquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertil Palm, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Bengt-Arne Berggren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 played minutes BK Trivsel got a freekick which was hit by Paul Kjellkvist. After some careless play in the BK Trivsel defense, Bengt-Arne Berggren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alf Forsberg. The BK Trivsel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alf Forsberg should have stopped the shot. Bengt-Arne Berggren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bengt-Rune Flink came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the BK Trivsel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt-Rune Flink couldn't finish the play. Östavall IF's Arman Biörkquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Palm in the 87th minute of play. Bengt-Rune Flink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arman Biörkquist having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertil Palm in the 91st minute of play forced Östavall IF's goalkeeper Arman Biörkquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, BK Trivsel's goalkeeper Alf Forsberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt-Arne Berggren. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertil Palm in the 94th minute of play forced Östavall IF's goalkeeper Arman Biörkquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt-Arne Berggren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Alf Forsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Östavall IF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
