Nils Vennerberg hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Grusplans Gubbarna!'s Wictor Nordlander got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Prospect's Ian Igelström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wictor Nordlander in the 10th minute of play. Ingvar Palm hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute of the match Sebastian Ödmann sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ian Igelström skillfully saved the ball. The Grusplans Gubbarna! fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Grusplans Gubbarna!'s Wictor Nordlander looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ian Igelström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Åkerman in the 18th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wictor Nordlander during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Hans Jansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ove Johansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Söderqvist in the 26th minute of play. If Pelle Sörman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Prospect's Gunnar Söderqvist in the 40th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ove Johansson was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Grusplans Gubbarna! through an amazing save. Rickard Åkerman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ian Igelström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prospect's Ian Igelström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Åkerman in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Prospect's goalkeeper Ian Igelström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gunnar Söderqvist was the one to do the kick off. Ian Igelström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Åkerman in the 52nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gunnar Söderqvist in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ove Johansson saved Grusplans Gubbarna! from getting behind. In the 58th match minute, Grusplans Gubbarna! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Jansson to maneuver through the defense. Ove Johansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Söderqvist in the 59th minute of play. Ove Johansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pelle Sörman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pelle Sörman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ove Johansson having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Gunnar Söderqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ove Johansson. Grusplans Gubbarna!'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gunnar Söderqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. With a little luck, Prospect's Ian Igelström got control of the ball when Wictor Nordlander tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pelle Sörman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ove Johansson having to make a save. Gunnar Söderqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Prospect's Gunnar Söderqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gunnar Söderqvist in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ove Johansson saved Grusplans Gubbarna! from getting behind. Pelle Sörman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ove Johansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gunnar Söderqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prospect's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
