After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Kjell Alrot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skog's supporters rose to their feet, but Kjell Alrot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Ferm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eskil Haraldsson in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Ferm saved FC Storvreten from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Stig-Ove Lundqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bengt-Rune Eklund was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Bengt-Rune Eklund made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Simon Ström sent off a good shot on target. 12 minutes into the match, FC Storvreten's Stig-Ove Lundqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bengt-Rune Eklund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Bengt-Åke Jonsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Storvreten's Stig-Ove Lundqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Ferm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell Alrot in the 17th minute of the match. Skog's Bengt-Rune Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Ove Lundqvist in the 19th minute of play. When Sven-Ove Törnblom fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skog's protests and gave Sven-Ove Törnblom a yellow card for diving instead. Sven-Ove Törnblom hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stig-Ove Lundqvist in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt-Rune Eklund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sven-Ove Törnblom hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute of the match Stefan Törnqvist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bengt-Rune Eklund showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 25th minute Eskil Haraldsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Ferm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig-Ove Lundqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Bengt-Rune Eklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Ström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt-Åke Jonsson hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Bengt-Rune Eklund made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Simon Ström sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the game, Kjell Alrot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skog's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Storvreten the free kick. After 36 played minutes Skog got a freekick which was hit by Kjell Alrot. Kennet Björling took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daniel Ferm. FC Storvreten's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Eskil Haraldsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skog's supporters rose to their feet, but Eskil Haraldsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Ferm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stig-Ove Lundqvist made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Skog's Kjell Alrot slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Daniel Ferm. That made the score 0-1 after 51 minutes of play. Eskil Haraldsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Daniel Ferm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Ström hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Eskil Haraldsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig-Ove Lundqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 played minutes FC Storvreten got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Tingberg. Eskil Haraldsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Daniel Ferm made a huge save. Daniel Ferm came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Skog's Eskil Haraldsson. But to his dismay, Eskil Haraldsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Bengt-Rune Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Ström in the 82nd minute of play. Eskil Haraldsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Daniel Ferm made a huge save. Simon Ström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Rune Eklund having to interfere. Bengt-Rune Eklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Ove Lundqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bengt-Rune Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Ström in the 94th minute of play. Stig-Ove Lundqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Rune Eklund having to interfere. The Skog supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Skog would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
