After a rather tough play, Sävsjö's Vilgot Nyström got a free kick in the 20th minute. Dan Bank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Stig-Åke Nyman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henrik Sillén. Sävsjö's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sonny Thedin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 39th playminute. Fränsta's Mattias Kruuse managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Linus Nyström in the 43 minute of the game. Fränsta's Albin Hammarbäck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Fränsta from getting a goal against them. Tord Giliusson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, one of Fränsta:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fränsta. The referee gave Sävsjö a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thomas Adelsköld, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fränsta's Albin Hammarbäck. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stig Målare to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Stig Målare left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fränsta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The supporters of Sävsjö booed when Fränsta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christoffer Lindström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Sonny Thedin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albin Hammarbäck was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. The Fränsta fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Fränsta's Dan Bank looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Stig Målare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Sillén having to interfere. The long shot by Staffan Jönsätt in the 84th minute really tested Henrik Sillén's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 85 minutes into the game, Christoffer Lindström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fränsta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sävsjö the free kick. A collision led to Fränsta getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Christoffer Lindström hit a great ball. Henrik Sillén acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Staffan Jönsätt. Fränsta's Dan Bank got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stig Målare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Fränsta booed when Sävsjö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilgot Nyström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, Fränsta failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
