The supporters of Åsa booed when Horn RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Gunnarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arvid Snell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Magnus Hellbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Åsa's Arvid Snell in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Horn RK's goalie prevented a goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Magnus Hellbom showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvid Snell in the 34th minute of play forced Horn RK's goalkeeper Magnus Hellbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michel Eriksson took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magnus Hellbom. Magnus Hellbom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Arvid Snell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Hellbom having to interfere. Wilhelm Örtlund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fred Henriksson having to make a save.
