The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 24th minute, Per Åkerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Åled IK's Hjalmar Hybbert got control of the ball when Per Åkerberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sakarias Kruuse struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Hjalmar Hybbert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for husqvarna fc. Vincent Hjelm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Söderquist in the 37th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, husqvarna fc's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Örn came free, but Vincent Hjelm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind husqvarna fc's goalkeeper Vincent Hjelm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Sakarias Kruuse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per Åkerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hjalmar Hybbert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nils Söderquist made a kick off. If Per Åkerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Per Åkerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. husqvarna fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Per Åkerberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hjalmar Hybbert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th match minute, husqvarna fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Kämpe to maneuver through the defense. Åled IK's Nils Söderquist got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mattias Örn took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vincent Hjelm. Vincent Hjelm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Per Åkerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hjalmar Hybbert having to interfere. Per Åkerberg struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Hjalmar Hybbert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for husqvarna fc. In the 75th minute, Per Åkerberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Åled IK's Hjalmar Hybbert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Åkerberg in the 76th minute of play. Mattias Örn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mattias Örn got free with Vincent Hjelm in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mattias Örn took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vincent Hjelm. Vincent Hjelm dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When the final whistle went the supporters of Åled IK were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant husqvarna fc side.
