Alfred Willig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Måns Utfal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7thth minute of the game Måns Utfal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anderstorp IK's Alfred Willig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 8 minutes in the game, Måns Utfal fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alfred Willig having to interfere. Alfred Willig was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Thor Göransson. If Måns Utfal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Måns Utfal in the 17th minute of play forced Anderstorp IK's goalkeeper Alfred Willig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Robert Lundkvist fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Anderstorp IK's protests and gave Robert Lundkvist a yellow card for diving instead. If Bernt Wallgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Anderstorp IK's goal looked a bit too open when Måns Utfal came free, but Alfred Willig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Måns Utfal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anderstorp IK's Alfred Willig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Måns Utfal in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Anderstorp IK's zone, Bernt Wallgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Willig came out of the goal and Bernt Wallgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Måns Utfal struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Alfred Willig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holmön. In the 47th minute, Bernt Wallgren fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivar Eskilsson was the one to do the kick off. In the 62nd minute Måns Utfal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Willig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Matthias Östman could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Mats Axelsson however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Anderstorp IK getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Daniel Vesterberg hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Joakim Harman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bernt Wallgren came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Holmön fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernt Wallgren couldn't finish the play. Mats Axelsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ivar Eskilsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 78 minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Anderstorp IK's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Wallgren came free, but Alfred Willig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernt Wallgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Willig having to interfere.
