If Rickard Bergström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Jimmy Fristedt in the 9th minute really tested Olof Bergman's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in BK Gräsdubb's zone, Rickard Bergström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olof Bergman came out of the goal and Rickard Bergström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. BK Gräsdubb's Olof Bergman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dan Lundgren in the 13th minute of play. Olof Bergman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Bergström, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 22nd minute Rickard Bergström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olof Bergman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Svante Hansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Kim Bolander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rickard Bergström was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Sporting Leeds Academy's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Lundgren got free with Olof Bergman in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute Birger Vik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Bolander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dan Lundgren in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Olof Bergman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 33 minutes into the game, Svante Hansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BK Gräsdubb's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Leeds Academy the free kick. After 34 played minutes BK Gräsdubb got a freekick which was hit by Svante Hansson. 35 minutes in the game, Rickard Bergström fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Olof Bergman having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Sporting Leeds Academy got a freekick which was hit by Dan Lundgren. Birger Vik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kim Bolander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Drake, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Dan Lundgren got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Birger Vik made the kick off in the second half. Kim Bolander made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Axel Drake sent off a good shot on target. In the 53rd minute Dan Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olof Bergman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pontus Bergqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olof Bergman having to make a save. In the 57thth minute of the game Rickard Bergström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BK Gräsdubb's Olof Bergman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind BK Gräsdubb's goalkeeper Olof Bergman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st minute Dan Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olof Bergman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sporting Leeds Academy booed when BK Gräsdubb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tor Gernberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 played minutes, Sporting Leeds Academy's Jimmy Fristedt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olof Bergman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Kim Bolander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birger Vik in the 73rd minute of play. Sporting Leeds Academy's Kim Bolander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Leeds Academy from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as BK Gräsdubb's Tor Gernberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kim Bolander. That made the score 0-1 after 75 minutes of play. In the 80th minute Tor Gernberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Bolander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of BK Gräsdubb booed when Sporting Leeds Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Åberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dan Lundgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
