Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Sporting Leeds Academy's goalkeeper Kim Bolander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hans Alén. After 8 played minutes, Sporting Leeds Academy's Jimmy Fristedt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kristoffer Siggman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sporting Leeds Academy reached it. In the 11th minute Nils Dalström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Bolander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rickard Bergström in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristoffer Siggman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Rickard Bergström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kristoffer Siggman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Lundgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Rickard Bergström might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristoffer Siggman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rickard Bergström ran back to his position shaking his head. When Dan Lundgren came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Sporting Leeds Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Lundgren couldn't finish the play. Kristoffer Siggman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickard Bergström, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Kristoffer Siggman came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Leeds Academy's Pontus Bergqvist. But to his dismay, Pontus Bergqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 38 minutes into the match, Sporting Leeds Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Oskar Kaxe came free, but Kim Bolander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Dan Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristoffer Siggman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Oskar Kaxe kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Nils Dalström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västerås's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils Dalström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kim Bolander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rasmus Kilman kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dan Lundgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 66th minute of the match Jimmy Fristedt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristoffer Siggman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pontus Bergqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Kristoffer Siggman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kim Bolander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Dalström, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute Rickard Bergström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristoffer Siggman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kim Bolander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Alén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute Nils Dalström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Bolander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute Rasmus Kilman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Bolander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 minutes of play, Västerås's Karl-Oskar Kaxe made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kim Bolander was left in no man's land by his defense there! Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
