The Sjölidens BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bengt-Arne Gullesson should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börge Hybbert in the 10th minute of play forced Sjölidens BK's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Gullesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt-Arne Gullesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börge Hybbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Kåre Almstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rydsgård RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kåre Almstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bengt-Arne Gullesson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kåre Almstedt struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Bengt-Arne Gullesson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rydsgård RK. After 19 played minutes Rydsgård RK got a freekick which was hit by Sven Åberg. Fredric Dahlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Biörnberg in the 20th minute of play. Michael Paulin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredric Dahlberg having to interfere. The Rydsgård RK fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Rydsgård RK's Börge Hybbert looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Rydsgård RK's zone, Michael Paulin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fredric Dahlberg came out of the goal and Michael Paulin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kåre Almstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Bengt-Arne Gullesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kjell Biörnberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredric Dahlberg having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sture Eliasson during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, Sture Eliasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Rydsgård RK's Claes Sundström tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kjell Biörnberg made a kick off. If Kjell Biörnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Kåre Almstedt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Paulin in the 60th minute of play forced Rydsgård RK's goalkeeper Fredric Dahlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Michael Paulin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Sjölidens BK booed when Rydsgård RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Börge Hybbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Sjölidens BK's Kjell Biörnberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fredric Dahlberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Börge Hybbert helped the player get up and apologised. Börge Hybbert kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Kåre Almstedt in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bengt-Arne Gullesson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Sjölidens BK's Felix Persson got a free kick in the 96th minute. Rydsgård RK played a much better game than Sjölidens BK and deserved their victory. The Sjölidens BK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
