Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Christian Pilberg kicked off to start the match. Jan-Åke Boström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Pilberg in the 3rd minute of the match. Bo Wennerquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Fredrik Bogren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jan-Åke Boström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Pilberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Marsfjäll IK's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Löfgren came free, but Jan-Åke Boström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Christian Pilberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jan-Åke Boström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jan-Åke Boström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Pilberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the game, Olof Hult recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fredrik Bogren. Olof Hult showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Marcus Holmgren was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 42 minutes, Jens-Ove Hökqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ed's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Ove Hökqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Stig-Åke Enegren came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Ed fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Åke Enegren couldn't finish the play. Oskar Strömberg lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. It was beautiful to see Marsfjäll IK's Kåre Frisk in action when he in the 49th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bo Wennerquist to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Olof Hult had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fredrik Bogren. Ed's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olof Hult was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stig-Åke Enegren during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Marsfjäll IK booed when Ed was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Åke Enegren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th match minute, Marsfjäll IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Måns Apelkvist to maneuver through the defense. Christian Levander missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 61 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Jan-Åke Boström right hand side. If Olof Hult had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marsfjäll IK's Bo Wennerquist in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ed's goalie prevented a goal. Fredrik Bogren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Wennerquist in the 77th minute of play. Stig-Åke Enegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Åke Boström having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bo Wennerquist in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fredrik Bogren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 87 minutes into the game, Måns Apelkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marsfjäll IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ed the free kick. After 87 played minutes Marsfjäll IK got a freekick which was hit by Måns Apelkvist. Marsfjäll IK's Marcus Holmgren got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michael Löfgren kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bo Wennerquist in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fredrik Bogren saved Ed from getting behind. Marsfjäll IK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
