Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lillpite's William Haegg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Isak Lövkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gamba Osaka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lillpite the free kick. After a rather tough play, Gamba Osaka's Isak Lövkvist got a free kick in the 6th minute. Nicklas Billberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kåre Jakobsson in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to Lillpite getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Christian Odman hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kåre Jakobsson in the 18th minute of play forced Lillpite's goalkeeper Nicklas Billberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Kåre Jakobsson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Lillpite's Nicklas Billberg. Nicklas Billberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Lillpite getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Hjalmar Skräddare hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Isak Lövkvist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicklas Billberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 28 played minutes Lillpite got a freekick which was hit by Ove Nilsson. 31 minutes into the match, Lillpite's goal looked a bit too open when Kåre Jakobsson came free, but Nicklas Billberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvar Odén made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Lillpite's Christian Odman. A hard shot by Ove Nilsson from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Nils Dalkvist's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Svante Eriksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, Arne Pettersson made a precise shot to the right of Nicklas Billberg. Lillpite's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kåre Jakobsson to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Ralf Petersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gamba Osaka and the Lillpite players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Gamba Osaka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Petersson to maneuver through the defense. Svante Eriksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Svante Eriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Nils Dalkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The throw-in from Håkan Arvidsson in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Lillpite's Ove Nilsson. Ove Nilsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Nils Dalkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Arne Pettersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicklas Billberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 67 minutes into the match, Lillpite's goal looked a bit too open when Kåre Jakobsson came free, but Nicklas Billberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Gamba Osaka booed when Lillpite was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ove Nilsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Gunnarsson got free with Nicklas Billberg in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Lillpite getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ove Danielsson hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the game, Svante Eriksson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Nils Dalkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Haegg in the 90th minute of play forced Gamba Osaka's goalkeeper Nils Dalkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicklas Billberg made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Gustav Hurtig sent off a good shot on target. Gamba Osaka's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
