After a rather tough play, Marmaverken FF's Rolf Melander got a free kick in the 15th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Laholm's Erland Arvidsson tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Yngve Norström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Stig-Arne Ahlquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Marmaverken FF getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Rolf Lövskog hit a great ball. Yngve Norström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Arne Ahlquist having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Elias Lindgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dag Fribäck in the 26th minute of play forced Laholm's goalkeeper Vilgot Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marmaverken FF's Stig-Arne Ahlquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yngve Norström in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Dag Fribäck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marmaverken FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dag Fribäck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dag Fribäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Yngve Norström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dag Fribäck was the one to do the kick off. When Laholm's Yngve Norström in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marmaverken FF's goalie prevented a goal. Dag Bokelund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Roy Apelquist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Stig-Arne Ahlquist made a huge save. Vilgot Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dag Fribäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dag Fribäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Vilgot Nordström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yngve Norström was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Laholm's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Rolf Melander's late challenge caught a Laholm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolf Melander helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Marmaverken FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf Melander to maneuver through the defense. Dag Fribäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilgot Nordström having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roy Apelquist got free with Stig-Arne Ahlquist in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dag Fribäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stig-Arne Ahlquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yngve Norström, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
