In the 10thth minute of the game Håkan Bergfeldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sjuntorp's Joakim Johnsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sjuntorp's Joakim Johnsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Sjuntorp from getting a goal against them. Måns Almqvist's late challenge caught a Sjuntorp's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Måns Almqvist helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sjuntorp booed when Hjälteby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Måns Almqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Torsten Dahlqvist made a precise shot to the right of Roger Hedkvist. Hjälteby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 30th minute, Erland Fribäck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sjuntorp fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Håkan Bergfeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hjälteby's supporters rose to their feet, but Håkan Bergfeldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joakim Johnsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcus Carlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcus Carlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Sjuntorp getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Esbjörn Petersson hit a great ball. Hjälteby's Valter Hedman shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 51st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Joakim Johnsson but with some difficulty.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Håkan Bergfeldt to make the kick off. In the 60th minute, Håkan Bergfeldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sjuntorp's Joakim Johnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Måns Almqvist in the 78th minute of play. Joakim Johnsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcus Carlberg's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 86th minute, Håkan Bergfeldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joakim Johnsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Joakim Johnsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Bergfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Marcus Carlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot.
