In the 3rd match minute, Kälarne IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alf Ennegren to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Åseda IK's goalkeeper Åke Mårtensson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Melin. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elliott Ek during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elliott Ek hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Kälarne IF's Jörgen Biörkman got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Melin struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Åke Mårtensson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kälarne IF. Åke Mårtensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörgen Biörkman in the 19th minute of the match. Karl Göransson hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Kälarne IF's zone, Elliott Ek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folke Bern came out of the goal and Elliott Ek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jörgen Biörkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elliott Ek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Bern having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Åseda IK's Elliott Ek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Folke Bern made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Elliott Ek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Åseda IK's Jens-Erik Haglund got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Åseda IK booed when Kälarne IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sivert Fagrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Kälarne IF defense, Elliott Ek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Folke Bern. The Kälarne IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Folke Bern should have stopped the shot. Folke Bern made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Erik Haglund in the 42nd minute of play. Alf Ennegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Melin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Mårtensson having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens-Erik Haglund was the one to do the kick off. Elliott Ek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Bern having to interfere. Folke Bern took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Erik Haglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Kälarne IF getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Alf Ennegren hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the game, Kälarne IF's Jörgen Biörkman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Åke Mårtensson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 64th minute, Martin Melin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jens-Erik Haglund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Folke Bern tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Harry Damm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åseda IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Damm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Folke Bern breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Martin Melin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Åke Mårtensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Melin in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Åke Mårtensson saved Åseda IK from getting behind. Åseda IK's Åke Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörgen Biörkman in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Martin Melin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kälarne IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Melin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Spetz kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, Kälarne IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Biörkman to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Martin Melin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kälarne IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
