Tage Skog's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torbjörn Månsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Anders Ivarsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Örjan Lundström made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Anders Ivarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blixtar's supporters rose to their feet, but Anders Ivarsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Örjan Lundström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torbjörn Månsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Emil Kvarnström, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Torbjörn Månsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils-Emil Kvarnström's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The supporters of FC Semriach booed when Blixtar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Askelöf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torbjörn Hellbom charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torbjörn Hellbom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes FC Semriach got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Hellbom. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christopher Jansson to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Blixtar getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Richard Österberg hit a great ball. After having played for 57 minutes, Nils-Emil Kvarnström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Semriach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils-Emil Kvarnström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tage Skog got free with Torbjörn Månsson in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tage Skog struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Torbjörn Månsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Semriach. After 71 minutes, Tage Skog mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Semriach and the Blixtar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Semriach's Tage Skog got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Emil Kvarnström in the 74th minute of play forced Blixtar's goalkeeper Torbjörn Månsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tage Skog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Torbjörn Månsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Blixtar getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Christopher Jansson hit a great ball. Nils-Emil Kvarnström had several of the Blixtar's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Torbjörn Månsson as he didn't even see the shot coming. Torbjörn Månsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Emil Kvarnström, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Torbjörn Månsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tage Skog in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Blixtar's goal looked a bit too open when Tage Skog came free, but Torbjörn Månsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torbjörn Månsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tage Skog showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 89 minute of play. With a little luck, Blixtar's Torbjörn Månsson got control of the ball when Tage Skog tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Jansson in the 96th minute of play forced FC Semriach's goalkeeper Örjan Lundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Semriach eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
