Jonny Helberg started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonny Helberg in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kenny Bergqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 6 minutes into the match, Sollefteå's goal looked a bit too open when Östen Björklund came free, but Kenny Bergqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Näshulta FK's Jan-Olof Benett got control of the ball when Eddie Mellin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan-Olof Benett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivar Linberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Östen Björklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Näshulta FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Östen Björklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kenny Bergqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Östen Björklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Östen Björklund during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Näshulta FK's Östen Björklund got a free kick in the 26th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Eddie Mellin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sollefteå's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eddie Mellin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonny Helberg scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kenny Bergqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan-Olof Benett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivar Linberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sollefteå! In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Näshulta FK. Gösta Stensson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kenny Bergqvist. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivar Linberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Östen Björklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charles Olsson's late challenge caught a Näshulta FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Olsson helped the player get up and apologised. Kenny Bergqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Östen Björklund in the 55th minute. Kenny Bergqvist was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Östen Björklund capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Östen Björklund really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. After 63 minutes, Gösta Stensson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Näshulta FK and the Sollefteå players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Eddie Mellin came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Sollefteå fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eddie Mellin couldn't finish the play. After 71 played minutes Sollefteå got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Mellin. Kenny Bergqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonny Helberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonny Helberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan-Olof Benett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torsten Andberg in the 77th minute of the match. When Näshulta FK's Jonny Helberg in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sollefteå's goalie prevented a goal. Kenny Bergqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Björn Walmarsson went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Eddie Mellin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan-Olof Benett having to make a save. Östen Björklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenny Bergqvist having to interfere. Näshulta FK played a much better game than Sollefteå and deserved their victory. The Sollefteå players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
