The referee showed Andy Eklund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vittskövle getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Andy Eklund hit a great ball. Timmersdala RK's Holger Fastesson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vittskövle. In the 10th minute, Yngve Boström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute, Sören Mårtensson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Timmersdala RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Yngve Boström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Bergkvist having to interfere. Sören Mårtensson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Douglas Bergkvist having to make a save. If Yngve Boström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Douglas Bergkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sören Mårtensson in the 36th minute of play. Yngve Boström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Douglas Bergkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marcus Abelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yngve Boström to make the kick off. Douglas Bergkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yngve Boström, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Sören Mårtensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timmersdala RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sören Mårtensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Bergkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yngve Boström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Douglas Bergkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. When Mikael Bergren fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vittskövle's protests and gave Mikael Bergren a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vittskövle getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Mikael Bergren hit a great ball. The supporters of Timmersdala RK booed when Vittskövle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Abelsson's late challenge caught a Timmersdala RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torsten Ödmann scored 1-3 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ove Dahlberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yngve Boström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Bergkvist having to interfere. Sören Mårtensson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Douglas Bergkvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match was over Timmersdala RK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vittskövle throughout the match.
