Spectators: 7184 (Terracing: 5498, Seating: 1686, VIP seats: 0) Sonny Mellberg made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Sonny Mellberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustaf Karlberg. Stoby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sonny Mellberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Stoby's zone, Sonny Mellberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustaf Karlberg came out of the goal and Sonny Mellberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stoby's Gustaf Karlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthias Mårtensson in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Sonny Mellberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eskilstuna FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Sonny Mellberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Karlberg having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Matthias Mårtensson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eskilstuna FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Matthias Mårtensson scored 0-4 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustaf Karlberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the game, Eskilstuna FK's Sonny Mellberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustaf Karlberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. 31 minutes into the game, Matthias Mårtensson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Gustaf Karlberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Magnus Brodin hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ove Britz in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Allan Skog saved Eskilstuna FK from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Mårtensson in the 42nd minute of play forced Stoby's goalkeeper Gustaf Karlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matthias Mårtensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Eskilstuna FK were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Eskilstuna FK's Sonny Mellberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gustaf Karlberg. Gustaf Karlberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Gustaf Karlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sonny Mellberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matthias Mårtensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Karlberg having to interfere. If Sonny Mellberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthias Mårtenssons short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Gustaf Karlberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matthias Mårtensson during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Eskilstuna FK's Matthias Mårtensson got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Matthias Mårtensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filiph Asklöv got free with Gustaf Karlberg in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eskilstuna FK's Matthias Mårtensson got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sonny Mellberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Karlberg having to interfere. When Matthias Mårtensson came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Eskilstuna FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthias Mårtensson couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Magnus Brodin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allan Skog came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Stoby's Ove Britz. But to his dismay, Ove Britz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. Allan Skog showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Britz, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Eskilstuna FK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
