Andreas Wennerquist kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. AFK Fortuna Valla's Hans Örtendahl got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamin Malmström hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Jarl Rosendahl kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Axel Ström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pål Lundqvist in the 9th minute of play. Pål Lundqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Axel Ström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match, Kennet Biörkquist got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sixten Kvalfält was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Lyrestad booed when AFK Fortuna Valla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Kullgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Alfors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Axel Ström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pål Lundqvist in the 47th minute of play forced Lyrestad's goalkeeper Axel Ström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half AFK Fortuna Valla were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pål Lundqvist made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, AFK Fortuna Valla's Michael Alfors nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Axel Ström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Lyrestad's Axel Ström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Lyrestad from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AFK Fortuna Valla's goalkeeper Sixten Kvalfält, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sven-Erik Söderman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kennet Biörkquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sixten Kvalfält having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lyrestad's zone, Pål Lundqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Axel Ström came out of the goal and Pål Lundqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Jarl Rosendahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarl Rosendahl kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, AFK Fortuna Valla's Hans Örtendahl tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Pål Lundqvist hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The AFK Fortuna Valla players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
