Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrian Hökqvist made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Leonardo Kvarnström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AIK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sundbyberg the free kick. The supporters of Sundbyberg booed when AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Kvarnström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th match minute, AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arman Asserlind to maneuver through the defense. Sverker Lenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sundbyberg's Sverker Lenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Erik Kristiansson in the 81st minute of play. After 89 played minutes, AIK's Sonny Bäckström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sverker Lenberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AIK reached it. In the 90th minute Adrian Hökqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sverker Lenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sundbyberg walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
