In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Täby IFK's goalkeeper Robin Glad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mattias Fogel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven Liljeström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven Liljeström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Fogel having to interfere. When Christer Tillman fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Täby IFK's protests and gave Christer Tillman a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Täby IFK got a freekick which was hit by Christer Tillman. David Alin scored 1-0 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robin Glad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Öman in the 90th minute of play forced Skärholmen's goalkeeper Mattias Fogel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skärholmen's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
