Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Olle Apelquist got the match started through his kick off. In the 9th minute of the match Krister Forsman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Holger Ålberg skillfully saved the ball. When Anton Aspengren fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Västerljung's protests and gave Anton Aspengren a yellow card for diving instead. Anton Aspengren kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Anton Aspengren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jens-Ove Wiklund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Fredrik Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holger Ålberg having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Fredrik Axelsson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Västerljung's Holger Ålberg. Holger Ålberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Olle Apelquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Holger Ålberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Axelsson in the 28th minute of the match. When Elliot Lövskog fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Västerljung's protests and gave Elliot Lövskog a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th match minute, Västerljung was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elliot Lövskog to maneuver through the defense. Västerljung's Holger Ålberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Felin in the 32nd minute of play. Johannes Felin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Holger Ålberg having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Fredrik Axelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Älmhult FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Axelsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Torsberg in the 42nd minute of play forced Älmhult FK's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Wiklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Västerljung's Morgan Hegg shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 48th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jens-Ove Wiklund but with some difficulty.
Älmhult FK's Fredrik Axelsson got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Holger Ålberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredrik Axelsson in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute, Olle Apelquist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jens-Ove Wiklund was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Älmhult FK's zone, Olle Apelquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens-Ove Wiklund came out of the goal and Olle Apelquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Västerljung's Anton Aspengren got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Olle Apelquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västerljung's supporters rose to their feet, but Olle Apelquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens-Ove Wiklund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anton Aspengren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute Olle Apelquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ove Wiklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 played minutes Älmhult FK got a freekick which was hit by Sten Alströmer. Jens-Ove Wiklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Aspengren in the 85th minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Västerljung's Conny Östensson tried to score from far away in the 90th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Olle Apelquist took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jens-Ove Wiklund. Jens-Ove Wiklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. John Lundin charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John Lundin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, John Lundin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Felin in the 97th minute of play forced Västerljung's goalkeeper Holger Ålberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Älmhult FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
