Rickard Haglund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Greger Drake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krister Sundström having to interfere. Norberg BK's Rickard Haglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orvar Broberg in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Tomas Sundling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krister Sundström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Aspre's Marcus Viklund couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Norberg BK. Rickard Haglund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orvar Broberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Rickard Haglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Låsberg in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Norberg BK getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rickard Haglund showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobias Låsberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Låsberg in the 51st minute of play forced Norberg BK's goalkeeper Rickard Haglund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Aspre's Orvar Broberg got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norberg BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Arvid Löfgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Molander hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The FC Aspre supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Aspre would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
